Eternally North:

Fostering a broken heart, Natasha and her gay friend, make a start on a new life in Canada.

Movie super-star, Tudor, is brooding and stunning, but has a secret. His manner is unfriendly and menacing, which keeps people away; that is everyone except Natasha. It becomes evident that Natasha is more than a match for him.

Will Natasha settle into her new life? Can a film star and a girl from Northern England make it work? Or will the skeletons skulking in Tudor`s cupboards spoil their happiness?
Eternally North (Eternally North, #1)

Eternally North is a well-crafted story, quirky, amusing to the point of tears and all in all a big bundle of fun.

This is an interesting tale with eccentric characters. The hero is brooding and egotistical, the heroine a strong character, excessive, brash yet loveable. Her best friend is also very entertaining.

All in all an enjoyable read.

Kindle Romance: Tangled by Emma Chase

Kindle Romance

Title - Tangled
Author - Emma Chase
Stars - 5

Tangled:
Drew is gorgeous but egotistical. He creates corporate contracts and beguiles beautiful women just as easily. However, he has been securely bolted in his apartment for over a week, despondent and miserable? He says he has the flu…

Katherine is talented, stunning and go-getting. When she is appointed to Drew’s father’s banking firm, the flamboyant playboy’s life is thrown into turmoil. The rivalry she causes is scary, his fascination with her, confusing, and his inability to lure her into bed, absolutely infuriating.

Tangled is outrageous, fiery, and amusing. It is a story about a man who knows about women…but not as much as he believes. Drew discovers the one thing he didn’t want, is the thing he can’t exist without.
Tangled (Tangled, #1)
There is a special attraction between Drew and his Kate. They quarrel, squabble, and toy with each other. The verbal facade makes you crave for the charismatic lady-killer to get whacked by love.

Tangled is a satisfying and sensual read, with some adorable amorous moments. The storyline is also very humorous.
An enjoyable read.

The Unsung Hero:

In an attempt to avert catastrophe, Tom puts together an improvised counterterrorist team, consisting of loyal officers, a couple of war veterans, some teenage oddballs, and Kelly, a neighbour who has developed into an amazing woman.

Tom has hankered for Kelly for a long time. Now he has one last chance to win her heart, and one last dangerous gamble to salvage the day.

The Unsung Hero (Troubleshooters, #1)

There is plenty of action taking place in The Unsung Hero, but the fundamental relationship between Tom and Kelly remains central and explosive. If you enjoy a story of two people who have known and been fascinated by each other for years ultimately getting together, you’ll love this.

The Unsung Hero will possibly touch your heart. The characters will probably remind you of people you have known and loved.
At some time in our lives, most of us dream of finding a perfect lover, yet so few realize when it happens. This is a book worth reading.

Spontaneous:
Kimani realises she has problems the moment she spots the tall scrumptious male. The best kind of problem, too...

Duan turns out to be the ideal male; beguiling, attentive, and the best lover she has had, it’s just a shame he’s only a one-night stand. However, Kimani finds she needs a partner to her mother's wedding. Duan is willing to act the part of her fiancĂ©... as long as it means full reimbursements - more amazing sex. No dilemma, it’s a given.

Kim finds out that Duan's has a hidden agenda and she doesn't know what to trust. Her head warns her to be cautious, yet the pounding in her veins turns out to have more influence....

Spontaneous (Jeffries, #3)

Every moment of the book is enjoyable… and even brought tears to my eyes. Although I would appreciate reading more of this story, it ends impeccably, but best of all it has a complete ending and not on a cliff-hanger. I can recommend this book.

It was amusing, satisfying, and with an adventure, but not to the point that the mystery gets in the way of the romance - similar to the way Without Reproach by Ellie Jones is handled

A SEAL's Seduction (Uniformly Hot SEALs #1)

A SEAL's Seduction grabs your interest from the beginning. Certain details in the book may not be true, but who is bothered. The story is racy and enjoyable.

The Game:
Jane realises a commercial milieu can be tough to steer through at the best of times. It is more challenging when the principal account lead can't stand the sight of her.

Damon really does know his way around commercial politics. In his presence, Jane needs to hold out for herself and her sponsor’s interests.

Jane has been given a wonderful break, now she has to demonstrate that her promotion was warranted. The only thing is, she isn't sure she can carry on in this intense atmosphere.
The Game
The Game is an enjoyable read, if a little obvious at times. The characters are well-developed, the plot effective even though the end comes over as rather rushed - and it is quick - some people might feel a little cheated.

There are a few typos in The Game and it needs some basic editing, but other than that it is a good beach read and not too syrupy.

Heavy Issues (Bowen, #2)

The sexual content of Heavy Issues might just have your pulse racing. It is quite scorching. Although Cole and Christine have an agreement for a sexual relationship, he unquestionably forms an emotional bond with her, so that she feels cherished and attractive. This in itself is quite a turn on.

Heavy Issues is simply a story of a couple in an embryonic relationship. There is no elaborate interweaving or incidents to the plot; it is about the developing rapport between the central characters. Sometimes, simple is best.

Lost to You:
Going to New York City has always been a dream of Elizabeth’s. Everything she does is to make it there.

Coached to assume responsibility for his father's law firm, studying at Columbia University is an expected step for Christian.

Neither of them are looking for more from life up to the point when they meet at a café table after being thrown together as study partners.

Christian fancies Elizabeth from the start, but she knows better than to give into the powerful chemistry that flows between them. Predictably, she finds it hard to stay away.

The central characters of ‘Lost To You’ are likeable. Christian sizzles with sex appeal, Elizabeth is tough and unfettered. It becomes evident from the start that there is great magnetism between them, yet for some reason, there is a hesitancy to take the liaison further. ‘Lost To You’ has conflict, friction, and romantic assertions of love and desire.

‘Lost To You’ is an interesting book from beginning to the end, demonstrating that no matter what happens, there is always a chance of finding happiness. This is a good read.

Kindle Romance: Burn by Dawn Steele

Kindle Romance

Title - Burn
Author - Dawn Steele
Stars - 3

Burn:
Abby has a history she does not intend to disclose to anyone, not even striking 21-year-old Devon.
When she ends in his doorway on a rainy night, penniless, losing blood and with burn marks on her hands, Devon takes her in. He nurtures, clothes and feeds her in a turn of events that changes their lives forever.

However, Devon, an artist during the day, is a hustler by night to make ends meet. His punters are assorted but very rich. A number of them are cruel, as shown by the scars on his torso.

Abby is carried into Devon's capricious world, but a disaster wallops them that neither could have forecast.

The central characters of Burn are shadowy and keep you turning the pages. They have mysteries but form an attachment with a rewarding relationship.

Burn is not about a strong heroine. Abby is a damaged girl on the run. The big problem is the plot seems to end in the middle of the story, presumably to encourage us to buy the next book.

There are a few editing issues, and some readers might be distracted by the unusual narration of 3rd person present tense. This is not a generally accepted format for romance - having said that, the meaning of ‘novel’ is something new. It might catch on.
