Away From Him:

Billy spends time with offenders that most would be nauseated by.
Melanie searches for good in Billy, and reveals a bond between them that neither comprehends. Melanie believes things happen for a reason; Billy thinks the world is out to get him.

When Melanie sees him at his worst, her image of him is devastated. His conduct makes her question whether she can tolerate him in her life. Is their bond strong enough to survive or will their relationship be destroyed?
Away From Him

From the start, there is chemistry between Billy and Melanie and it's easy to empathise with them and understand their fascination. The story does contain steamy scenes, but they are not excessively graphic.

The plot advances in a rational way and flows well making an easy read. The dialogue is realistic and the characters sympathetic. Overall, Away From Him is an enjoyable read.

Although a catastrophe throws them together, Lila and Ash unexpectedly discover each other. Their relationship is charming and amusing – the repartee and twists slip into a love story that is definitively Nora Roberts. The Collector is a book that you will probably read cover to cover without putting down. A master writer.

Honeymoon For One:
To avoid local tittle-tattle, jilted bride Michelle boards her honeymoon cruise alone. On board, and charmed by a man she doesn’t imagine she will see again, she sheds her respectable girl image, to try to enjoy life and shrug off her recent rejection.
However, what happens on a cruise doesn't necessarily remain there. Her unexciting no-nonsense life back home is unexpectedly overturned when the specialist hired to rationalise her company turns out to be her cruise-ship affair.

Honeymoon For One

Honeymoon For One is a fairly quick read, and the plot is perhaps something that you might expect in a RomCom movie. The characters, however, are likeable, believable people, and the plot moves rapidly, so all in all it keeps you turning the pages.

Title     - Bender
Author - Stacy Borel

Bender:
Keegan needed a roommate who was discreet, unobtrusive, and who would promptly pay their share of the rent. Unfortunately Camden Brooks doesn’t slot into this description.
Camden, wicked body, sarcastic tongue, and unable to keep out of Keegan’s space, doesn’t seem able to control his curiosity in the girl who won’t tolerate his assertive behaviour.

Feelings are unbridled, sexual tension thick, and both find it difficult to let go.
Bender (The Core Four, #1)

The story is enjoyable and the drama interesting. Camden seems a lurch at the beginning but he somehow wins you over. Minor characters are funny and entertaining, dialogue realistic.

Bender is a light, entertaining read. Fun and froth - a young adult story.

Between Now And Forever (Callaways, #4)

A fast and enjoyable book with characters that are well-rounded, agreeable and true to life. The plot runs well, draws you in - and keeps interest at a high level throughout the story.

There are a few typos but they don’t distract from the story.

She Can Hide

Three years ago, Abby was kidnapped and dumped in a well. The farcical police investigation nearly cost her, her life. Abby relocated to Pennsylvania for a new beginning, but it becomes increasingly clear that her car crash was not a coincidence, and she recognizes that the brutality from her history has finally caught up.

The problem is, Abby’s attacker was convicted and jailed, so who else wants her dead?

Ethan discovers a string of homicides entwined in Abby’s history, and someone seems prepared to annihilate her because of it. Abby eventually trusts Ethan enough to reveal what is happening… and her true feelings. However, to put an end to the killings, Ethan has to make a choice that could endanger them all.

She Can Hide

She Can Hide is a racy thriller with nerve-jangling suspense, and well-developed subplots linking to the main story.

There is always an element of surprise, central characters are realistic, and dialogue convincing. The descriptive writing also makes it easy to picture the setting in your mind's eye. This book was a page turner that I appreciated.

When Royston finds her in his office presenting a late report, he is taken up with her shapely legs and captivating eyes. He decides she’s just right for the role of fake fiancée. She’s attractive, intelligent, and catches his interest.

Will she consent to his scheme to be his make-believe fiancée, and will their exploit turn into more?

The Tycoon's Make-Believe Fiancée

If you’re looking for something to cheer you up then this is perfect. The Tycoon’s Make-Believe Fiancée is a frothy book, easy reading, nothing profound, quite conventional with no real surprises. Something to read to put you in a happy mood. A few errors, especially with American/British wording, but if that doesn’t bother you, give it a try.

Shame on You (Fool Me Once, #1)
The macho knocking sessions between the girls is quite humorous. Kennedy is no fragile poppy but there is no repudiating her draw toward Griffin. She attempts to erect as many barriers as she can, to keep him from his inexorable pursuit of her but to no avail.

Shame on You is witty, engrossing and had me smiling. A recommended read.

Surrender:
Rafe is from a large Italian family. Successful, every enterprise he tries turns to instant triumph. However, it all declines when his wife leaves him. His despair eventually makes him hard as nails and he resolves that no one will hoodwink him again. Now, he regards affairs as commercial operations where both participants are reciprocally served.

Ari comes across an advert in the paper for a job that’s too good to be true. She is successful in the interviews only to discover the job is actually for a mistress to the formidable Rafe Palazzo, proprietor of Palazzo Enterprises. She rapidly declines then discovers her mother has deteriorated. Her mother is in hospital because of Ari’s mistake, so she just has to do everything she can. Will working for Rafe rescue her, or will she fall into the netherworld of perdition?
Surrender (Surrender, #1)

Surrender certainly does not guide you on a predictable path; it twists and turns all over the place. Think Fifty Shades of Grey without serious kink… and the romantic sections are also a bit redundant.

The central characters are well constructed and fairly realistic, but the end is rather abrupt.
Not my cup of tea, but don’t let that put you off. Give it a try.
