Looking For Trouble

 Kindle Romance

Author - Erin Kern
Price  -  $0.99

When Noah walks out into the morning sunshine, the last thing he envisages is being knocked down by a yellow Mercedes. His rage fades when he finds the driver has endless legs and deep eyes.

Avery, daughter of a publisher, ought to have followed her common-sense and not come to this back-of-beyond place.

Noah needs someone to organize his office. However, he did not want them to be the same person who left their bumper imprinted on his backside but there is little choice. As they spend more time together, Noah has the impression Avery isn’t who she says she is. Is she just a girl looking for a change or is there more going on than she’s telling him?

Avery adjusts to her new life in the attractive backwater. She has a job for the first time in her life and a boss who turns her on more than anyone else ever did. But did she make the right choice by leaving home or is she falling deeper into trouble?

This book is basically Chick-lit. However, there is more to it than that.  The main character is a strong, self-reliant woman. Erin Kern has created a fairly well-rounded character. The plot follows her break-up with an ex-boyfriend, and her search for something more.

The story has amusing scenes, poignancy, and a true-to-life feel about it. It was an easy read that slips down without hassle, as you follow the characters, and their trials and ordeals. Some of the descriptive writing is good but some a little OTT.  This book is one for the lassies, and will probably be a hit in its genre. Not the best written but readers will probably overlook the technical downside because of the good read
