 Weekends Required:

With Jason merging with another company, Claire is required to travel with him, as well as work weekends. All the fantasies she entertained about her boss seem to be coming true. Her best friend Suzy thinks that just getting laid will solve everything. The problem is, Claire sees much more in Jason than mere sex.

The storyline of Weekends Required is entertaining. However, at times the dialogue comes across as stilted. The grammar also needs attention, such as the incorrect use of semicolons. At times, grammar spoils what is otherwise an entertaining story.

Weekends Required is an office romance with a twist. The relationship between Claire, Jason, and Claire's friend Suzy is a laugh. The story is amusing at times, the romance acceptable, and the conclusion satisfying. What more can you ask for in a snug romance.

Margarette’s Master

 Kindle Romance

Author - Hayden Maxwell
Title     - Margarette’s Master
Stars   - 5

Margarette’s Master:
Margarette is depressed after leaving her latest job. Her best friend, Jake, decides to take her out for a night on the town to take her mind off things.

They actually end up in a fancy restaurant which he just happens to own, and there things begin to heat up. Will she really be able to explore her sexual side with her best friend?

 Product Details

Margarette’s Master is a fun story. It is plausible, but not hackneyed. There is steam, but it is not over the top with explicit erotica.

There is enough connection with the characters to bond with them, which is a necessary quality with romance; and the story is quite well written. On the whole, Margarette’s Master is sharp and tantalising, a flirty, fun read.

The Reiver

Kindle Romance Book Review

Author - Jackie Barbosa
Title     - The Reiver
Stars   - 3

The Reiver:
Duncan, laird of Lochmorton Castle, is surprised to find that the reiver captured in a raid on his lands is not a boy, but a young woman. She refuses to tell him her name or how she came to be riding with a raiding party.
Duncan cannot stomach imprisoning a woman in his castle dungeon yet neither can he let her go her without reimbursement. Not able to ransom her back to her family, he treats her as a visitor.
He takes to calling her Reva and resolves to seduce the truth of her identity from her. There is a drawback, the reiver may steal his heart before he can reveal her secrets.

Product Details

The Reiver starts off on a good premise. The protagonists, dialogue and background are very acceptable, and I quite liked The Reiver female central character. However, the story needs to be fleshed out and developed a little more.

The storyline of The Reiver seems too rushed with too many loose ends hanging around such as having no real evolution of the love affair. The romance just suddenly ‘happens’ with no build-up or explanation.
