Dane:
Dane returns to his hometown. It is ten years since he left the woman he loved to make a name for himself, but now he’s resolved to claim her once and for all.
Charlotte has no intention of welcoming him back into her life. Her resentment of Dane’s treachery runs deep, and she has no plans to let him hurt her again, especially since she’s trying to protect the son that Dane doesn’t even know exists.
The writing is reasonable, and the characters have potential.
The problem is the plot moves too fast for comfort. The story has promise, but for me, it is too
short to care about the characters. These things take time to develop. Too much
was left unexpressed and not all problems were addressed.
